Think specific words when choosing like “Classic, timeless, bold, playful...”
Play with colour and texture! But stay away from bold patterns. ...Maybe it’s your favourite bulky sweater or some cool stitching on a dress...lace.... Bold lipstick, red shoes.... or the opposite: Subtle lip colour and bare feet! If you are utilizing my makeup artist, think ahead about looks you love. You will be creating a Pinterest board to share or save images on your phone for inspiration.
Avoid clothing with logos, large images/texts and colors that don’t match.
Shoes are something to consider and can really create attitude in a photo...
Variety! Bring 3-4 outfits. More is better than less.
Accessorize. Hats, coats, amazing glasses/sunglasses, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings. If you are into Vintage: gloves, pocket watch, a tea pot, a pet (not that a pet is vintage, but you get the idea :-).
Sports/hobbies: anything that reflects what you love to do...
A new outfit, borrow or rent! If there is something special, go get it. If you have your prom outfit worked out, bring it. Cap & gown....
Experiment: This is your shoot. We can take a lot of photos in that time so don’t be afraid to wear something you may not wear everyday (bring some of those casual clothes too), think about pushing your edge. It’s going to be fun.
